There’s still no word on an official release date set for Gran Turismo 5 following the recent decision to delay it from November 2nd.
But it doesn’t look like it’ll be a long delay, judging by various bit of evidence currently surfacing.
Sony Australia has started promoting a Bravia TV offer – if you’re one of the first 21,000 people to buy a new Bravia 3D TV and submit your proof of purchase, you’ll receive a new 160GB PS3, 2 pairs of 3D glasses, 2 3D Blu-Ray movies, 4 PS3 game download vouchers, and one copy of Gran Turismo 5. And the kicker is that it’s ‘guaranteed’ to all be with you before December 25th.
Amazon.com is currently listing Gran Turismo 5 with a December 31 release date, although Amazon.co.uk hasn’t risked putting an actual date out yet.
And for U.S. readers, razor brand Shick has just launched a campaign with branded razors which include a 10-digit code to download a free GT5 dynamic theme for your PS3, a GT5 race suit for your avatarr, or an Playstation network movie rental. There’s also a sweepstake for a set of Gran Turismo branded ASTRO A30 gaming headphones.
